An employee with a high school in Iowa has been suspended after the staffer was caught on camera calling a Black student the n-word.

In the video, a White male staffer at Dubuque Hempstead High School is seen staring down at a Black student standing across from him. He then says to the student, “What you looking at, nigger?”

Another Black student is seen walking out but stops when he hears the staffer use the slur toward the other Black student.

In the video, the employee apologizes to the Black student who walked into the hallway before he resumes talking to the other student whom he called a slur.

On Wednesday, school officials said the employee, who was not identified, was immediately suspended as the school district completes an investigation.
