NEW YORK — Prolific hip-hop producer and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested late Monday in New York after he was indicted by a federal grand jury.
Prosecutors did not announce the charges Combs is facing, but said the indictment could be unsealed as early as Tuesday morning.
The U.S. Attorney’s office in Manhattan reportedly confirmed with the Associated Press that federal agents had Combs in custody.
Combs has been accused of abusing women and sexual assault. Earlier this year, video was released showing Combs beating his ex-girlfriend Cassandra Ventura, a pop singer also known as Cassie.
