Former NFL player Brendan Langley will not face charges after an altercation with an airport employee two months ago in New Jersey.

Authorities reportedly dropped the simple assault charges against the Calgary Stampeders wide receiver after he was involved in a fight in May at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Video of the fight, which went viral, showed the 27-year-old repeatedly punching a United employee. Langley was arrested and charged with simple assault.

Langley’s attorneys said the United employee was verbally abusive and assaulted the former NFL player first.

The airport employee was terminated after the altercation.
