Alabama universities forced to end DEI initiatives to comply with new law

MONTGOMERY, Al. — Three University of Alabama System campuses were forced to end their diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives by closing its DEI offices to comply with laws passed in 2022 that ban such programs on public college campuses.
