HOUSTON– The life of longtime congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee City of Houston will celebrated all week in Houston with a several events beginning on Monday honoring the life of the late representative.
Jackson Lee, who announced in June she was diagnosed with cancer, died at age of 74 on July 19.
President Joe Biden arrived in Houston on Monday to pay respects to the Democratic powerhouse who represented her Houston district for nearly three decades. Vice President Kamala Harris is expected to deliver a eulogy for Jackson Lee on Friday.
