According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Tyrese Jackson was placed on administrative leave in January when a criminal investigation was initiated.

According to LCSO, detectives reviewed 120 hours of body-worn camera footage and found evidence Jackson may have stolen money from several wallets and purses he came into contact with during traffic stops. The alleged thefts happened between Jan. 2, 2024 and Jan. 22, 2024, reported WTFX in Florida.
