An investigation conducted by CBS News has reportedly found that paid advertisements for major political organizations and well-known politicians have appeared under pro-Nazi and racist posts shared on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter.

CBS News’ investigation uncovered advertisements for Republican and Democratic political organizations and candidates that were found under racist or pro-Nazi posts from verified accounts on X.

The CBS News investigation led to the World Bank ending its paid advertising on X after the organization learned that a promoted advertisement from the World Bank appeared under a racist post from an X account that shares neo-Nazi and white nationalist content.
