MINNEAPOLIS — A federal civil rights lawsuit was filed against two Minneapolis police officers and the City on Tuesday, alleging the officers violated the constitutional rights of a man who was recording them with his cellphone when they shoved him to the ground and wrongfully jailed him last year.

Police body-camera video shows the two officers asking for Said Abdullahi, a Black man, to move out of the street following a car accident. One of the officers, identified in the civil complaint as Daniel Barlow, can be seen in the video, pushing Abdullahi. The other officer, identified as Sergio Villegas, then approached Abdullahi from behind and shoves him. Abdullahi then fell backwards on the rainy street.
