During a luncheon at the White House for the Australian Prime Minister on Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the deadly mass shooting that happened Wednesday night in Lewiston, Maine. In addition to saying the Biden administration would offer full support for the community affected, she also said “It does not have to be this way, as our friends in Australia have demonstrated.”
