TUCSON — Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd, was seriously injured on Friday after he was stabbed by another inmate at a medium-security federal prison in Arizona.
The attack happened around 12:30 p.m. local time at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson, according to a person who spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity.
Prison officials said in a statement that an unnamed prisoner was taken to a hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
