Harriet Tubman School in Ontario vandalized with racist, homophobic slurs

The Harriet Tubman School in Niagara, Ontario in Canada was reportedly vandalized after someone left graffiti with racist and homophobic slurs on the monument at the campus. The incident reportedly happened over the weekend, sending shockwaves through the local community where examples of racism have increased. Canada holds significance related to racism as it was one of the places where Tubman, who helped lead fleeing slaves through the Underground Railroad before the abolition of slavery in the U.S. This reportedly is the second racist attack on the school. In addition, a bust outside of the church where Tubman worshipped was also attacked last year after someone pushed it over.
