Zarian Hadley, founder of Leimert Park Film Festival, discusses importance of showcasing Black art

The Leimert Park Film Festival (LPFF) is entering it’s second year with its upcoming event on Oct. 8. In addition to independent films by Black creators, this year’s festival will include a fundraiser.

In an interview with BLK News Now!, the LPFF founder Zarian Hadley discussed the genesis of the festival, the importance of showcasing and supporting Black artforms, and what to expect from the upcoming festival.
