West Point disbands clubs for minorities and women following Trump’s DEI orders

NEW YORK — At least a dozen cadet clubs that support multiple groups of races, genders and sexual orientations at West Point were disbanded on Tuesday following President Donald Trump’s orders to end DEI and diversity-related initiatives in the federal government.

West Point issued a memo with the order on Tuesday. The decision, which was made by the U.S. Military Academy, comes two weeks after President Donald Trump last month signed an executive order intended to shut down DEI programs in the federal government.
