HOUSTON — Vice President Kamala Harris, Bill and Hillary Clinton and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries were among many leaders and thousands of people who attended funeral services for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2024.

Jackson Lee died July 19 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jackson Lee was honored throughout the week in her congressional district of Houston. President Joe Biden payed his respects to the late congresswoman on Tuesday while she laid in state at the capitol rotunda.
