A video circulating on social media showing a White officer in Mississippi beating a Black man in handcuffs has gone viral.

The incident happened on Aug. 5 in McComb. An officer is seen grabbing a handcuffed Black man, identified as Eugene Lewis, by his neck. The unidentified officer wrestles Lewis to the ground off the side of the highway.

In the video, the officer can be seen moving Eugene further into the grass and then pinning him with his knee.

Someone is heard shouting in the video “that’s how George Floyd got killed!”

Video shows the officer repeatedly ordering witnesses to stay back while pointing a weapon at them as he is still kneeling on Eugene. An police vehicle arrives shortly and one of the bystanders is arrested.

The video was taken by Packer Lewis, Eugene’s brother.

In the video, the officer says nothing to the White bystander who got out of his vehicle.

Eugene said he was stopped for going 30 mph in a 35 mph zone, reported WAPT.

McComb Mayor Quordiniah Lockley reportedly said he watched the video and has asked a state representative to investigate the incident.

Officials with Mississippi Highway Patrol reportedly said they are investigating, as well.
