An unarmed Black man died in a hail of bullets after he was shot by police in Ohio video released today revealed.
The 25-year-old man was shot by officers last week after he reportedly ran away when they tried to stop his vehicle.
Police said officers who reportedly fired at least 90 shots thought the man was armed. There were 8 police officers who responded to the incident.
Police reportedly said it appeared the man was turning toward them when they opened fire.
Police played videos at a news conference, which they said showed a gunshot fired from a vehicle the man was driving in.
Police said a gun was recovered from the vehicle the man was driving.
An attorney representing the man’s family reportedly said he had not seen any evidence showing the man fire a weapon and that body camera footage shows the man’s back turned to officers when they fired.
