WASHINGTON D.C. — Following President Donald Trump’s executive orders aimed at ending Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) programs, the Department of Education has warned K-12 schools and state agencies they will have to end DEI programs by the end of the month or lose federal funding.

A memo was sent by the DOE’s civil rights division on Friday after the department announced it is cutting more than $600 million in grants used for teacher training programs that it called “divisive ideologies.”

Other divisive topics, according to the Trump Administration’s DOE, include anti-racism, critical race theory, social justice, and white supremacy.

In the memo, the Department of Education added that will “vigorously enforce the law.”
