CYPRESS, TX — A school in Cypress faced outrage and criticism from parents after a racial slur was discovered in a newsletter sent to more than a hundred parents.

The newsletter was sent on Sunday from Lycee Montessori School in Cypress, which is about 20 miles northwest of Houston. On the third page of the newsletter, a paragraph read:

“Sometimes just spending that quality academic time with your child one on one in the comfort of your home can be equal to if not greater than the academic authorization of a real n—– b—–.”

In the statement, the school said it didn’t know “how or why this occurred.”
