MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wisc. — A “flurry” of racist threats has reportedly led to several Milwaukee County Board of supervisors agreeing to cancel a memorial planned for Sade Robinson, who was killed and dismembered after going out on a date last year.
Supervisors made a request to withdraw the memorial last week during a committee meeting, reported the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Most of the board of supervisors sponsored the resolution last month. The memorial, which would have cost about $7,000 in taxpayer dollars, would have been installed in a local park.
More on why officials canceled the memorial, and the death of Sade Robinson.
