Beyonce’s concert picture, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” based on her Grammy-winning album tour, debuted at number one at the North American box office, bringing in $21 million.
The film also reportedly left its mark in the record books — it’s debut was the first time a film opened to over $20 million on the weekend after Thanksgiving-Black Friday weekend in at least 20 years.
Beyoncé is credited as the writer, director and producer of “Renaissance.”
