A high school principal in Georgia was reportedly heard on video using the n-word while talking to a student, school officials have confirmed.

The conversation was secretly recorded by a student who East Forsyth High School Principal Jeff Cheney was speaking to on Sept. 9, reported WSB-TV.

Cheney was comparing the n-word with the word “cracker.”

Cheney does not appear in the video, but school officials confirmed it was Cheney’s voice.

Cheney has since apologized.

No disciplinary action was taken.
