NEW YORK, N.Y. — The teenager suspected of fatally stabbing a 28-year-old gay Black man was arrested and has been charged with murder as a hate crime and criminal possession of a weapon, authorities said.
Sibley was stabbed to death after he and friends were voguing and dancing at a gas station in Brooklyn on July 29. Several people made reportedly made homophobic comments, which led to a confrontation.

According to the New York Police Department, the teen suspect, was arrested on Friday.
The suspect’s name was not released, but police said he attended a high school near the gas station where Sibley was stabbed.
