Mississippi’s largest HBCU names new president

JACKSON, Miss. — A new president was named to lead the largest historically Black university (HBCU) in Mississippi.

Marcus L. Thompson was named the 13th president of Jackson State University by board of trustees for the state Institutions of Higher Learning.

The university’s former president Thomas K. Hudson reportedly resigned March 31.
