Madrid star Vinícius Junior targeted again by racist behavior during match in Spain

MADRID — Vinícius Júnior was once again the target of racism, this time during a match when a spectator allegedly engaged in “xenophobic and racist behavior” on Saturday.

The fan was ejected by Sevilla during a match against Real Madrid on Saturday.

Sevilla released a statement after the incident, and filed a complaint, but did not specify what exactly the spectator did which left the Madrid star visibly upset on the field.

Vinícius has been regularly targeted with racist abuse.
