Lowe’s is one of the latest major U.S. retailers to announce it will be revising its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies.
According the memo shared with the Associated Press, company leaders said the hardware retailer started “reviewing” its programs after the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling against affirmative action affecting college admissions.
Lowe’s will also no longer sponsor or participate in events unrelated to their business.
Affirmative action and DEI policies have been increasingly targeted by conservatives since the Supreme Court’s decision last year.
In June, farming equipment supplier Tractor Supply also announced it was trimming its diversity programs.
