New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin said the evidence investigators received didn’t indicate a motive related to bias or terrorism.
The New Jersey imam, identified as Hassan Sharif, was critically wounded after he was shot outside of the mosque. He was transported to a hospital where he later died.
