FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Former NFL player Vontae Davis, who was a cornerback for the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts, was found dead at the age of 35 at his home in South Florida on Monday.
According to local police in the suburb of Davie, officers responded to a medical emergency at Davis’ home on Monday morning. David was found dead when officers arrived.
No cause of death has been released pending autopsy results.
Police say no foul play is suspected, but that an investigation is still active.
Davis played with the Miami Dolphins for three seasons, and six seasons with the Indianapolis Colts after he was traded ahead of the 2012 seasons.
