BRIGHTON, Colo. — Two paramedics were convicted Friday in the 2019 killing of Elijah McClain who was given a fatal overdose of the sedative ketamine.
It also was the last of three trials in the case of McClain, a 23-year-old Black man whom officers stopped after someone reported seeing someone “suspicious” walking down the street.
Earlier this year, one officer with the Aurora Police Department was convicted of homicide and third degree assault. Two other Aurora PD officers were acquitted.
