Couple found guilty of abusing, trafficking adopted Black children

A couple accused of neglecting a group of adopted Black siblings and forcing them to perform labor, was found guilty by a jury on Wednesday in West Virginia.

Jeanne Kay Whitefeather, 62, was convicted of all 19 charges against her, including child neglect, forced labor, civil rights violations, and human trafficking.

Donald Ray Lantz, 63, who was facing 16 counts, was convicted on all counts except for civil rights violations.
