Brigham Young University reportedly announced today it found no evidence a fan hurled racial slurs at a Black volleyball player during a match against Duke University last month after concluding an investigation into the allegations.

A Black player with Duke University’s women’s volleyball team said she and her fellow Black teammates were subjected to racial slurs and heckling from a fan in the stands throughout the match on Aug. 26 in Provo, Utah.

After BYU was made aware of the allegations, the school said the person accused would be banned from all future sporting events.
