NEW YORK CITY — Police are searching for two people after a 3-year-old boy was dropped at a hospital in Brooklyn unconscious with bruises on Sunday.
New York Police Department told local news station News 12 New York that the boy identified as Kyng Davis arrived just before noon and had visible bruising. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Per News 12, people claiming to be family members said the boy’s 24 year-old mother and her 38-year-old boyfriend were the two who dropped the child off at the hospital before leaving. They told News 12 the mother has an intellectual disability.
Police said the cause of death was suspicious and remains under investigation.
