Black school principal in Michigan files lawsuit against superintendent, school district alleging racial discrimination

EASTPOINTE, MI — A Black elementary school principal in Michigan filed a federal lawsuit against the superintendent and school district alleging racial discrimination.

In the lawsuit against Eastpointe Community Schools, the plaintiff claimed the superintendent made racially charged comments to her and other Black school employees, CBS News Detroit reported.

The plaintiff also accused the superintendent of giving more resources to another school led by a white principal and allegedly saying the school would run differently if it were operating by a white principal.
