Black man who lost home to Eaton Fire files lawsuit, alleges racism at hotel

LOS ANGELES — A Black man who lost his home to the Eaton Fire in the historically Black city of Altadena has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. Monday, alleging he was racially profiled and harassed while temporarily staying at one of their hotels in Anaheim.

The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, includes several allegations including, civil rights violations, assault, false imprisonment, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and more, reported Pasadena Now.

The plaintiff is seeking unspecified damages.
