JACKSON, Miss. — A Black FedEx delivery driver who has accused two white men of chasing and shooting at him after making a stop at their home on his route in 2022 has reportedly now been fired from his job.
Per an Associated Press report, Carlos Moore, an attorney who represents D’Monterrio Gibson, provided a copy of an email Gibson received from FedEx on Monday. The email said Gibson’s employment with FedEx was terminated last month and the company tried to deliver documents about the termination about a week later.

A FedEx spokesperson confirmed Gibson was “no longer employed at FedEx,” the AP reported.
Last Thursday, a Mississippi judge cited police errors in declaring a mistrial for the father and son charged in the attack. A detective testified about failing to give prosecutors and defense attorneys a copy of a videotaped police interview with Gibson.
