Atlanta-based nonprofit discusses Breast Cancer awareness for Black women

TurningPoint, a non-profit organization based in Atlanta, Georgia has helped women all over the United States who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. They are the only non-profit organization in Atlanta — and one of few in the country — that offers physical and mental health therapy specifically for women with breast cancer.

Marlena Murphy, a mental health counselor and advocate with TurningPoint, who is also a breast cancer survivor, spoke with BLK News Now! Health/Entertainment contributor Falisha McGee for the #BLKFriday podcast to share advice and valuable information about prevention and treatment options, including the availability of services for patients with and without health insurance.

More information about TurningPoint and breast cancer awareness can be found here.
