Tyrone DuBose has earned a reputation as “America’s Premier R&B Historian” throughout a successful career in radio and television. DuBose is set to debut his new series revisiting chart-topping Black artists who made an impact in music and Black culture.

Ahead of his new series airing on kweliTV, DuBose talked with BLK News Now! about announcing his new show during Black Music Month, the importance of R&B music to Black culture, lessons from TV and radio legend Casey Kasem, and of course, his favorite R&B musicians.
