Adidas to sell more ‘Yeezy’ sneakers after severing ties with rapper

FRANKFURT, Germany — Adidas announced on Friday that another round of Yeezy sneakers would be released, several month after breaking up with rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, who made antisemitic remarks last year.

The shoes will go on sale Wednesday on the Adidas wesbite and app.

Adidas was left with $1.3 billion worth of unsold Yeezys after cutting ties with Ye, and uncertainty about what would happen to the unsold inventory.

Adidas did not release information about how many of the Yeezy inventory would be available for sale and how much of the proceeds would be donated, reported the Associated Press.

It was unknown if Ye would receive any royalties from the sales.
