22 injured, 1 dead after mass shooting at Juneteenth event in Illinois

Police are searching for a suspect after a shooting left 22 people injured and one man dead following a Juneteenth celebration in Illinois on Sunday.

The shooting happened in a parking lot at a shopping center in Willowbrook, a suburb southwest of Chicago.

Police have not said if there was a motive behind the shooting.

The holiday weekend, which included Father’s Day on Sunday, was one of the most violent in the Chicago area this year, with at least 60 people reportedly shot.
