Two men were reportedly convicted last week for using dating app Grindr to rob people in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Dlanor Tilton and Mazar Sturdivant were convicted on July 21 on two counts of armed robbery, reported WMBF News.

Tilton did not appear for the trial, which began July 18. A warrant for his arrest was issued.

Prosecutors reportedly said that Tilton and Sturdivant used Grindr to commit multiple robberies in December 2018, and that the victims were people visiting from out of town.

The judge sentenced Sturdivant to 10 years in prison. Tilton’s sentence was sealed until he is arrested and brought to court.

The case involving Shamoray Holmes, a third person reportedly involved in the robberies, will be heard at a later date.
