Podcast: 11-year-old Black girl attacked, called racial slurs by neighbors celebrating Mexican holiday, mom says

Trinity Washington, an 11-year-old Black girl in Chicago, was allegedly attacked after her neighbors — who were reportedly celebrating Mexican Independence Day — hurled racial slurs at her and her family last weekend.

The alleged attack has left the girl requiring at least two surgeries so far, according to a report from ABC 7 Chicago.
