MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One man is dead and four people were injured, including an 8-month-old child after a mass shooting was reported in a Memphis neighborhood early Sunday morning.

According to Memphis Police Department, officers responded to a shooting around 4 p.m. and found four people suffering from gunshot wounds, including one three people in critical condition and an 8-month-old child, reported Fox 13 Memphis.

The victims told police they were sitting in a truck when they were approached by two men who demanded they give them the truck. The victims refused and tried to flee, but the suspects shot at vehicle multiple times, reported WREG.

Most of the victims were transported to local hospitals. One man died from his injuries. Two women were in critical condition. The 8-month-old child was expected to survive.

One man arrived at the hospital on his own with non-critical injuries from the shooting.

MPD said the suspects fled the scene in a black Dodge Charger. No arrests have been made.
