The Kansas City Police Department in Missouri is under scrutiny after a Black woman escaped her alleged captor, and at least two other Black women were found dead following warnings from the community about a possible serial killer on the loose. On Oct. 7, a 22-year-old Black woman, only identified by authorities as “TJ” to protect her identity, reportedly escaped from a house in Excelsior Springs, a suburb near Kansas City, and ran to a nearby house crying for help. The woman was allegedly kidnapped, raped, and whipped. She was restrained in shackles during her abduction, reported the Kansas City Defender. A lawsuit filed on Tuesday reportedly claims the teacher who was abducted while jogging in Tennessee and murdered could have been avoided if authorities properly investigated the alleged rape of a Black woman who accused the suspect involved in the other case. Alicia Franklin said she was raped last year by Cleotha Abston, the suspect accused of first-degree murder and kidnapping of Eliza Fletcher, reported WMC. A former police detective was reportedly arrested last week by federal agents on an indictment of six counts of alleged civil rights violations for allegedly sexual assaulting at least two women during his time in law enforcement with Kansas City, Kansas police. Roger Golubski 69, was indicted by a federal grand jury in Topeka, which led to his arrest. A Florida pastor was arrested after he was allegedly caught with his pants down with a 15-year-old boy inside of his car. Authorities were responding to a 9-1-1 call about loud music coming from a golf course in Palm Coast when a deputy saw a Toyota Camry parked near it. When the deputy approached the vehicle and flashed a light on it, the deputy noticed the vehicle shaking. Nearly 3 dozen teenage girls in Southeastern Nigeria, including some who were pregnant, were rescued from a “baby factory” where the victims were forced into sex slavery to birth children sold on the black market. About 35 teen girls, 4 of whom were pregnant, were discovered in a hotel in the state of Anembra on Monday where they were forced to have sex and give up their children for sale. The White father of a Black teenager girl in North Carolina was sentenced to death last week after he murdered and sexually tortured the girl and disposed of her body.
