A woman working as an informant for law enforcement in Louisiana was reportedly raped twice by a known drug dealer during a sting operation while deputies left her unmonitored. The incident happened in January of last year in Alexandria. The woman went to a dilapidated drug house to buy meth from a drug dealer known on the streets as “Mississippi” while she was outfitted with a tiny microphone and hidden camera. The authorities supervising the sting left her alone with the man — with devices incapable of monitoring the encounter in real time, reported the Associated Press. Black woman carrying fetus with fatal condition denied abortion in Louisiana

Louisiana’s strict abortion laws in the wake of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade reversal has reportedly prevented Black woman from undergoing an abortion after she discovered her fetus has a fatal defect. Nancy Davis woman said even though her baby was diagnosed with Acrania, which she discovered after reviewing an ultrasound, doctors have told her they will not be able to perform an abortion, reported NOLA. Acrania is an unsurvivable condition in which part of a fetus’ skull is missing. The baby does not survive after birth more than a few days or weeks. Rapper Boosie Badazz was pulled over by police in Georgia and briefly detained — and body camera footage showed the Louisiana-born rapper was quite unhappy with his encounter with police. The incident happened Tuesday. He was reportedly pulled over for heavy window tint and concealed tags. In the video, the rapper contends the officers pulled him over without good reason. Officers reportedly handcuffed him after finding a bag of marijuana and cash in his vehicle. In body camera video, the rapper seems really upset by the situation. 3 White Louisiana state troopers charged with beating of Black man

Three Louisiana state troopers are facing misdemeanor charges after the beating of a Black man following a high-speed pursuit in May 2020. The victim reportedly had a suspended license and outstanding warrants when he was pulled over for a minor traffic violation. He fled from troopers during the stop. Body cam video showed the victim was repeatedly struck and slapped by the state troopers who were on top of him while he was face down after he surrendered following the chase. At one point troopers also grabbed the man by his braids as they lifted him to his feet.
