Crowd cheers after Alabama senator makes racist remark at Trump rally in Nevada

Alabama senator Thomas Tuberville is under scrutiny after making a racist remark during a Trump rally in Nevada on Saturday. The former college football coach told the audience that Democrats are “pro-crime” and support people who feel they are owed “reparations.” Many in attendance cheered after Tuberville, who has a history of racially-charged statements and sentiments, made the comment. A Republican lawmaker put her racism on display Saturday at a Trump rally in Illinois by telling the crowd the SCOTUS reversal of Roe v. Wade was “a victory for White life.” With former President Trump in tow, the Congresswoman, who is up for re-election, thanked the crowd for their support in the undoing of the 50-year-old federal protection of abortion rights before making the racist comment. A Black woman who was a poll worker from Atlanta, gave harrowing testimony about the fear from violent threats she endured and racist attacks aimed at her during the Jan. 6 insurrection committee hearing. In a prerecorded testimony, the woman on Tuesday told lawmakers investigating the insurrection that she didn’t feel safe anywhere after former President Trump identified her multiple times during a conference call with the Georgia Secretary of State. Trump, supported by Guilliani, made false claims at the woman and her daughter, who was also a poll workers. Trump called the woman a “professional vote scammer and hustler.” The woman had to escape from her own home after the FBI advised her to leave for her safety.
