NBA star LeBron James’ comments on Brittney Griner’s detainment in Russia aren’t the only thing that has caught attention from his interview on HBO’s “The Shop.”

On the episode that aired Friday, the Lakers forward said he has encountered numerous incidents of racism and hatred when he’s played in Boston.

“They will say anything, and it’s fine. I mean, fuck, it’s my life. It’s shit I’ve been dealing with my whole life…. Like, I hear it. Like if I hear somebody, like, close by, I’ll check ’em real quick. I move on to the game.

LeBron said he has even had beer thrown on him by fans at the TD Garden.

“There was like a ‘Fuck LBJ’ T-shirt. I believe they probably sold it at the fucking team shop. The Celtics had something to do with that shit,” James added.

Ironically, James is also part owner of the Boston Red Sox.
